(from the Midnight Sun - CPI):
Apocalypse Drow sweep the season series with their hated High Elf cousins, by defeating
them 4-1 under Very Sunny skies. Word out of the lockerroom was that several
Darkelf players were suffering from "the Flu", though reports from the team Hotel might
indicate that perhaps there could be other explanations as reportably an all-nighter had
occurred. AD lost the toss and set up on defense. The kick went deep and the Sentinels
retreated deep into their own territory. AD put up a pickett line defense and the high elves
obliged by slamming into the right side. It was nip and tuck until Belladonna blitzed the High
Elf Thrower, the slippery ball ping ponged around eventually ending in the open behind the
Darkelf line. Bingo bongo! they picked it up and Lord Blackthorne converted the turnover for a
score.
AD kicked again, and the High-elves sent everyone deep. When the inevitable Pass was
tossed the ex-patriot high-elf Plato the Apostate, 'armed' with the Magic Arm of Jark
Longarm, snatched the pass out of the air. He sprinted upfield and passed it to
Mercurious D'myze who sauntered in for a score. The high elves played a little catch and
that was about it for the half.
AD received the kick after half, though suffering from a pervasive Doom and Gloom, still
managed to run Plato in for a three turn score. The next High Elf drive also stalled when an
elf flubbed a quick pass.Lacidivus Ka'Ress grabbed the open ball and tossed a pass to
Lord Blackthorne who scored again.
With time winding down, the Sentinels were able to break into the scoring column with a
meaningless last second score.
After the game it was announced that perennial All-Star Tuern Redvenom had decided to
sign-on for the teams playoff run, at half his normal fee no less!

Commentary from da Coach: Flu bug slowed me down as my Leader and the
line-elf who was the designated scorer both were out from the Flu Bug. Despite the Doom
and Gloom, I'm not sure I missed a single crucial roll all game. I think I still had 4 Re-rolls
on the board at the end of the first half too!
