Femme Fatales indeed. Like the Pimpbot 5000, the Thugs set about smacking some bitches around and
turning them out, turning them out to the tune of a 3-0 final score. Varag Ghoulchewer was once
again in star condition making his presence felt all over the pitch, causing yet another casualty
along the way, in addition to several key blocks which allowed his teammates to get downfield.
However, nothing said the match was in hand from the start quite as well as the opening hit from
Tarpik Necksnapper which put the Femmes Cold One, Sally, out of the game.
Krug seems to have warmed up after the first week, now a rising star in his own right. He threw
three completions this game, and even after the game seemed to have a little extra spring in his
step as if he is finally grasping the offense in its totality. However, it remains to be seen if
he has the talent to become a legend, to surpass all the Throwers of Orcy lore and stand astride
the Blood Bowl as a legend of Nuffle's game. The next two games against Coach Gerg The Vile
termed "infernal-like dwarves", will certainly be telling in Krug's true measure of talent.
The only complaint one could make about the Thugs in this match was that they were positively Elf-
like in the manner in which they threw the ball and scored touchdowns, causing only two casualties
this match. What's Jack-Booted or Thug-like about that? Not much. At least Marpik Necksnapper
and Varag got into the true spirit of things. We will reserve final judgement until season's end
about their true Thug stature, even though they are among the league leaders in total team
casualties caused.
The next two games against the "infernal-like dwarves", who are divisional opponents, should prove
pivotal to the races in both divisions; setting up the contenders and pretenders for the final
weeks. Next week we'll see if the Govt. Thug's league-leading defense, allowing only one TD in
four games, can slow down the Stampede.
