Big story of the week was that Count Scapula had injured himself in a bizarre tanning booth
accident, and would be unavailable for the match. Somehow the rest of the team was able to put
themselves together and show up anyway. 58,000 fans actually paid money to watch an early season
meeting between the Rookie humans and the age old legions of the dead. For the first time this
season Dem Bones started the game with the ball. Necromancer Skeletor was true to his gameplan,
and merely applied a deathroller-like drive to overwhelm the undermanned Men. There was a brief
show of concern in his hollowed visage as the Wights managed to get themselves bottled up on the
sideline, but superior numbers eventually prevailed.
The first Human drive of the second half was stopped dead in their tracks, and a cage of Undead
recovered the ball and returned it for a TD. The Humans were further stunned on the second kickoff
as the deadites Blitzed! Their team was bowled over and in disarray by the foul wave of undead,
the Rapiens eventually coughing up the ball and yielded a second defensive TD.

Injury Report:
Scapula missed game.
Commentary from da Coach: Bogus call made by consortium of "impartial" coaches prevents
Vampire from being able to use his skill Regeneration on an injury. No matter as I had enough
players as it was. Cards were Grasping Tentacles again, and Unsportsmanlike Conduct.
I was up against Biased Referee - obviously as I couldn't put the Count in the game, and
Stiletto. I did manage to almost goof up my initial drive by wedging myself against the
sideline, fortunately the dice didnt let me down and I was able to blitz my way out of trouble.
Chainsaw zombie must have forgotten to gas up the chainsaw, as he failed 7 straight starts before
being ejected by the biased ref. But what do you expect for a player with only part of a brain.
