"That was a brutal case. I don't think our legal team will ever be the same. Especially without
Word Eleven." stated the Head Prosecuter while carting another wheelbarrow of injured elf lawyers
from the field.
The Lothloren Lawyers were optimistic at the outset, winning the coin toss and going into the
game with a 3-1 special play card edge. One of their special plays was Extra Training, which was
used to purchase a reroll.
"Another card we had was bankruptcy. Basically, we had solid proof of insider trading in the
Rat organization. We decided to give them a second chance before going public with it. Our offer
was, 'Just don't foul this game, and you can keep your money.' Not so surprisingly, the vermin
flatly refused, fouling at every opportunity. That decision cost them 90K in winnings, plus
whatever they had in the bank."
As the game progressed things became increasingly bleak as players began going down...
sometimes permanently. On the first hit of the game, Section Three was killed outright by the
Skaven Rat Ogre.
"Losing #3 called for immediate action, so our apothecary was able to get an injunction to keep
him on the case. Unfortunately, it was premature. We should have stayed our hand to keep our team
MVP, Word Eleven, from become disbarred."
The notorious catcher who had been the primary force behind turning a Skaven turnover into a TD
was killed while failing a go-for-it with the ball deep in the Lawyer's backfield. This stunning
tragedy all but ensured overtime.
"All their gutter-running junior advocate had to do was pick the ball off of Word's corpse.
They really had us at that point. With most of our team in the KO or injured box, they had a three
player edge. Then the fans stepped in to even the odds."
A pitch invasion removed three rats from the field of play just before overtime. Three of the
four elves in KO box also regained consciousness, giving Lothloren a two player advantage. The
Skaven won the OT toss, and were moving steadily up the field when the Rat Ogre went with a
strategy based upon mental defect.
"Their big guy went nutso and flattened his own ball carrier. We thought we had them at that
point, but one of our attorneys double-downed on a critical block. From there it was a war of
attrition, culminating in the use of our final card to chuck the ball past their only standing
player, the Rat Ogre, and run in for the win."
Although elated by the victory, the costs of this case has left the team doubtful about their
prospects for their next case against their Dark Elven brethren.
"A team of Dark Elves who all think they're Lord Borak, and us without two of our best trial
lawyers. I don't need this. Really, I don't."
